Chloroplasts

Found in plant cells mainly (and not in animal cells), the chloroplasts use the energy from sunlight to make energy-rich food molecules through photosynthesis. Chloroplasts are bounded by two envelope membranes and contain large stacks of photosynthetic membranes. The green pigment chlorophyll is located in the photosynthetic membranes.
