Cell Wall

The main function of the cell wall is to provide support and protection for the cell. The cell wall is the outermost layer of the cell, and is found in nearly all prokaryotes with the exception of all animal cells. Most commonly it is found in all plant cells. Most cell walls are made from fibers of carbohydrate and protein, and all water, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other substances to pass through them.
